From Handmade Beginnings to the Competitive Stage
My journey in cosplay started with a needle, thread, and the loving guidance of my grandmother, who sewed my costumes when I was little and later taught me to sew. By the time I was nine, I was making my own clothes, and at eleven, I dove headfirst into creating my own cosplays. I didn’t step into the competition scene until 2013, winning my first award in 2014, and from there, my passion for craftsmanship and performance only grew.
Through the years, I’ve earned several smaller awards, along with three craftsmanship awards at larger conventions—advancing to Journeyman in 2016. My biggest achievements so far include a Judges’ Choice award at Katsucon 2018 and Best Performance at the International Costumer’s Guild in 2022. Somehow, I now find myself on the edge of the Masters category—a thrilling (and slightly intimidating) milestone—but I’m eager for the challenge ahead.
Cosplay is more than just costumes; it’s storytelling, creativity, and a lifelong craft. I can’t wait to see where this journey takes me next!
